Updates & Changes for Course Selection 2022-2023
College Board AP Equity and Access Policy
The College Board strongly encourages educators to make equitable access a guiding principle for their AP programs by giving all willing and academically prepared students the opportunity to participate in AP.
The AP Program offers college level instruction to the academically successful high school student with the option of taking an AdvancedPlacement examination and possibly qualifying for college credit. AP students are expected to work at an accelerated pace and to engage in outside reading and independent learning.
AP courses are open to all students with the prerequisite coursework who wish to take on the additional challenge of advanced academics. Students who choose to enroll, however, should be prepared for the increased academic challenge of these courses.
